2002 – Geographical Data acquisition and utilization
Background: Acquiring geographic data is an expensive process, so it is important to know what to look for and where to look for it. Trimble users also need to know which formats these data sets need to be in for maximum utilization.
Course Goals & Objectives: In this training module we will examine some of the sources of GIS data including background imagery. We will look at the different options for downloading vs. streaming data to Terrasync and PFO. Supported file types and upload, storage and layer options will also be covered.
Prerequisites: This module is designed for intermediate to advanced users of Trimble Terrasync and PFO. Users should have taken courses "3001-Introduction to Terrasync Field Software" and "3002-Introdcuction to Pathfinder Office Software" or be comfortable with the content of those courses.
