2001 – GPS Measurements in obstructed areas
Background: Need to measure that wetland flag under the pine trees? How are you going to get that water meter up against the building? GPS measurements can be challenging in obstructed areas and even more difficult to determine whether or not your recorded data is any good.
Course Goals & Objectives: This module will focus on some of the tools each GPS user has at their disposal to ensure the best possible performance in challenging areas. Users will also learn about some of the quality indicators that can be used to determine whether the measurement you did get was any good.
Prerequisites: In order to get the most out of this module the user should be a competent user of Terrasync and have some field experience in obstructed areas.
